Director of Maintenance

 

The Director of Maintenance (DOM) is responsible for the overall operation of the Repair Station and for any off station operations in accordance with applicable Federal Regulations and is responsible for ensuring accomplishment of all tasks necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the Repair Station, including but not limited to complete airframe inspections, aircraft conversions, heavy maintenance repair and modifications, executive interior modifications and avionics upgrades.

The DOM’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that aircraft maintenance is performed in accordance with FAA Title 14 CFR Part 145.
  • Keeping the Accountable Manager apprised of manpower, material, equipment, publications, and facility requirements.
  • The planning, direction and coordination of activities within the Repair Station, and the planning of its activities in conjunction with other departments, as required.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of all hangar and shop equipment and tools are in a serviceable working condition.
  • Ensuring the Maintenance Department areas are kept clean and orderly.
  • Being thoroughly familiar with the contents of Repair Station / Quality Control Manual, CFR’s, AC’s, manufacturer’s data, and other pertinent data.
  • Managing, controlling, and establishing budgetary requirements to ensure proper operation of, and adequate equipment and supplies for the Repair Station.
  • Establishing standards to ensure adequate safety precautions are observed.
  • Evaluating and advising management of aircraft assets and forecasted needs.
  • Interacts daily with Repair Station Management and Departments as well as Customer Management and Representatives.

Minimum Experience Required: Have five years of aviation maintenance experienceFAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.Have at least five years management experience of 20 or more people.Understanding of EPA and FAA regulations.Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.Experience dealing with regulatory authorities both international and domestic.

Airframe & Powerplant Technician

 

 

 This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and major inspections on commercial jet aircraft. Ideal Candidate will have excellent Trouble-shooting skills, repair, and modification maintenance experience with various aircraft an in addition:

- Is responsible for using sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.

- Performs operational checks to ensure air-worthiness prior to departure.

- Evaluates removed components for serviceability and documents discrepancies.

- Troubleshoot and repair all airframe and powerplant systems as required.

- Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.

- May perform other duties as required by the department.

Requirements:

- Must be 18 years of age.

- Must have a valid US drivers license.

- Must possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.

- Minimum 3 years experience in MRO or Flight Line Maintenance environment.

- Avionics background helpful.

- Analytical skills required to perform complex mechanical troubleshooting.

- Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written.

Aviation Quality Control Inspector

 

 

Must be a team player, receptive to training, and willing to accept and adapt to change. Must be willing to temporarily work any shifts as the business needs require. Must have exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), Must have Boeing 727 and 737 experience. Must be able to work with others and follow instructions.

Education and Experience Requirements:
High School graduate/GED. Airframe and Powerplant License required. Four (4) years mid-size aircraft experience. Proficient in the utilization of Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms and documents. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation, shop mathematics and QC Procedures.

Position Purpose:
The Airworthiness Inspector physically inspects aircraft, aircraft components, and reviews paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality, and that customer aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition with all required documentation properly completed and filed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
Responsible for all inspections on aircraft/components in the Repair Station.
Completes inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA approved/acceptable data.
Coordinates mechanical, electrical and inspection requirements on the aircraft during maintenance or outfitting.
Keeps accurate, neat and legible records of the work performed on aircraft/components.
Coordinates throughout assigned jobs with RTS to ensure accurate aircraft records are produced in a timely manner.
Conducts audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all aircraft prior to approval for return to service.
Ensures aircraft/components are airworthy prior to any flight activities.
Mentors technicians on effective documentation.

Additional Functions:
Communicates with management as required to identify work assignments and delivery schedules.
Continually monitors repair station compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA accepted site Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
Completes FAA required conformity inspections and complies certification data for presentation to the FAA for approval.
In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.
Performs other duties as required.

Other Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to prioritize tasks.
Strong computer skills.
Must be able to work all shifts.
Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas and lift up to 40 lbs.

Avionics Technician

 

  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years recent Avionics experience performing a wide variety of avionics duties .
  • Must have experience on one or more of the following aircraft; Boeing 717, 727, 737, Embraer, Airbus A319 thru 321 and MD-80 series.
  • Must have your own tools and reliable transportation.
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform all assigned work in accordance with maintenance manuals, company policies and FAA Regulations
  • Must be able to effectively troubleshoot all aircraft systems
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations
  • Must be able to perform all line maintenance functions unsupervised, at any time
  • Responsible for completion of aircraft documentation
  • Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
  • Must have FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
  • Experience entering and accessing technical data within computer systems
  • Must have Valid drivers license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Ability to work nights, shifts, weekends if needed and holidays
  • Ability to lift 75lbs, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, sit, stand, stoop, frequently in confined spaces
  • Good Communication skills

Structures Technician 

 

Job Description:

  • Repair body or structure of aircraft according to specifications.
  • Reinstall repaired or replacement parts for subsequent riveting or welding, using clamps and wrenches.
  • Read work orders, blueprints, and specifications or examine sample or damaged parts of structures to determine repairs or fabrication procedures and sequence of operations.
  • Locate and mark dimension and reference lines on defective or replacement parts, using templates, scribes, compass, and steel rule.
  • Cure bonded structures, using portable or stationary curing equipment.
  • Communicate with other workers to fit and align heavy parts or expedite processing of repair parts.
  • Clean, strip, prime, and sand structural surfaces and materials prior to bonding.
  • Repair or fabricate defective sections or parts, using metal fabricating machines, saws, brakes, shears, and grinders.
  • Remove or cut out defective parts or drill holes to gain access to internal defects or damages, using drill and punch.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • A&P license not required but highly preferred
  • Must have at least 3 years aviation sheet metal experience.
  • Boeing 727 and 737 experience preferred.
  • Must be able to accomplish any and all repairs, modifications, E.A.'s, etc, with very little to no assistance.
  • Must be able to use the FAA approved data proficiently (e.g., IPC, AMM, OHM, SRM.)
  • Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
